History
Prior to becoming the Slayer,
Morgan was dating a college freshman who was
attending one of the local colleges. She wasn't
exactly a "wild party girl" but also
wasn't quite the "good girl" that her
family would have wanted her to be (despite the
fact that she was pretending to be a Good Girl)
Still, he was a well-off and mostly respectable
young man so Morgan's parents didn't exactly
protest her dating him. It wasn't the healthiest
relationship, with Morgan being in sort of a Hero
Worship sort of attitude towards Raphael --
seeing him as like, the coolest and most
wonderful guy in the world. She was absolutely
over-the-moon in love with him.
When Morgan became the Slayer, she tried her
utmost to keep Raphael away from the whole Slayer
Thing. Both because she knew she was supposed to
keep it a secret and because she wanted to keep
him specifically safe.
But, of course, keeping up with both a normal
social life and the duties of the Slayer and
keeping both separate proved to be impossible for
Morgan, and Raphael paid the price for it. Being
inexperienced and not yet totally in-tune with
her powers, Morgan wasn't able to tell that
anything about Raphael had changed -- until he
attacked her and while she managed to escape,
Morgan couldn't bring herself to kill him, due to
their previous relationship and her inability to
fully accept that the person she was in love with
was gone.
It was very shortly after this that Morgan's
parents sent her to New York to live with her
grandmother. Absolutely heartbroken, Morgan has
sworn off anything to do with romance -- knowing
that getting too close to anyone would only end
up hurting them... So while she'll make friends,
she'll be keeping them at arm's length... To keep
both them and herself safe...
